Results - Our birds did really well here. Of the four shows one of our birds, a black cockerel, won Best of Breed as well as Champion AOSB. In two of the other shows another black cockerel owned by Mr. Hickson won Best of Breed. But we gave him that bird. So we can take a "breeding victory" on that. Although not a real victory. Still better than losing to another bird altogether. Which we did in one of the four shows. Had a great time and the show went well. Pictures are of the two black cockerels we showed.

Preview - Four judges in two days will look at the same birds here. A good way to get a nice consensus on the birds. This is a pure chicken show and not much to do here but enjoy all the birds and judging. We look forward to a rematch with Aaron Hickson and there are usually other good breeders here of Ameraucana. We'll show the two cockerels from the Fort Worth shows as well as a white cockerel that is honestly losing condition, and a good black pullet that hasn't done much at shows. Also we have a nice wheaten pullet we're showing. A nice little city and friendly people and hosts make for a fun time that can be great or very humbling with the four judges. There are some other really good birds in this class and AOSB is hard to win. Making Best of Breed a big accomplishment.
