Best of Breed and Champion AOSB Black Cockerel

Best of Breed and champion aosb

Results- Our first show of 2020 was a great success. We showed 9 Ameraucana Large Fowl. One of our black cockerels won Best of Breed and also Champion AOSB. We also won Reserve Breed with a white cockerel. It was a pretty deep field with 39 Ameraucana Large Fowl and 56 total birds in the class. We felt like our birds were in good shape and the judge agreed.

Preview- We feel this show as our superbowl. It's in our hometown and by far the biggest event we go to in terms of people, not exhibitors. There is always a good many birds, but the site and crowds coming to the show is far beyond anything else. We always get a chance to talk to a lot of the non-chicken world about our chickens and we both really like doing that. Besides the Stock Show is fun and there's lots of other stuff to see. Most of our birds are right in their show prime at this time and for this reason. We will be showing blacks, whites, wheaten and blue wheaten. As well as our silkies and Rhode Island Red.
