We are so exited to announce that Lauren won the National Grand Champion Ameraucana with a Wheaten Pullet! In a class of 20 birds in the juniors from all over the US. A great win for her!
In the open show we won best variety in white. In the open show the blacks, wheatens and blue wheatens didn't do as well as we'd hoped. We used the best birds in the Junior show and it paid off! This was our National Show and there were 186 Ameraucana exhibited from all over the USA! All the big breeders were there, quite the competition.
Preview - This will be the biggest show we go to all year. And maybe the first for the season. Our first after Covid closed the other shows. Last year we didn't do that great here. And there were a lot of good birds.
This year it is our Ameraucana Breeders Club National Show. Hopefully the turnout will be huge and we can meet people from all over the country who share this breed. It's still months away and I'm already nervous. We have a few birds that look pretty good, so we'll see how we do.
