Best of Breed Ko Shamo and Reserve Varitey Black Large Fowl Ameraucana

This was our first show of the year.  A double show in Klein Texas.  A good turnout of about 900 birds.  Our Ameraucanas didn't do much as some nice blacks from Makenzie Wroten took most of the honors in the double card show.  On one show our black pullet took Reserve Best of Breed.  I thought our Ameraucana cockerels would do better, but not this time.  There were no other Ko Shamos, so we won that be default.  There were a few other New Hampshire bantams.  One show we took both Best and Reserve of Breed, the other show just Reserve of Breed.  None of the birds placed in their class.  But it was good to get out and start showing again.  My buddy Aaron couldn't make it.  And he has Ko Shamos as well as Ameraucana, so didn't get to compete with him. We're going to spectate in Shawnee on the 14th.  And next show will be first of the year.  Trying to sort back through the usable birds we didn't show and see if we have anything better.
